Do not sign a contract with Mediacom. We spend 1 1/2 years with internet that barely worked, it was slow as dial up and went out about 50 times a day. They will blame you, your house, your wires, your computer- after they came out for the upteenth time, it is finally working-(mostly)

The phone service is a joke. The ONLY jack in the house that will work is the one on their modem. NO phone jacks will work in the house. And their one jack goes in and out.

Cable is a joke- they went all digital- the channels start with 51.5 and go to about 56.23 - yes all the channels have decimal points! Most *** thing ever.

The DVR is also a joke. It will record one channel, and you can't record and change channel? Garbage.

Guess what? They can lie and not provide services but you have a contract, so if you try and cancel, they will turn you into a credit agency. What can you do? post complaints on *** websites.

Hey, I'm very sorry you're having this issue, that is not the level of service we expect to provide. We can definitely take a look into your phone and internet issues.

I know the problem with the inside phone jack could be an issue with the modem not being properly connected. The DVR box sounds like it may only have dual tuner.
