Remember when the gov't regulated cable companies a few years ago to prevent monopoly? It didn'tt work.
Cable companies created a workaround for that, and Mediacom is a part of the scheme. They are the ONLY cable company in my city (Cox ONLY is offered 1 mile away in adjoining city). You pay their rates, go by their rules, and if you don't like it, you have NO OPTIONS.
Mediacom know this, and as a result you get terrible customer service, zero negotiating, ridiculous policies, crazy miscellaneous fees for hookup, and over-priced, over-rated products/services. I will never use this provider again and I would never, with a clear conscious, recommend this business to another human being - under any circumstance.
