Most of the time we were content with the service, but there were some definate things lacking with Mediacom:

a. The 12 MPS service we purchase would routinely "lock-up". Maybe it was just that everyone happened to be downloading large files simultaneously... however their service in the evenings was ***....

b. When I was forced into a situation where I had to relocate, Mediacom conveniently stated that they would not have an option to give a forwarding email address or to help their paying customers with the transition. When my wife called to discuss this with a rep, they were rude and snippy with us.... Their Customer Service is ***...

c. In the modern world, most users are moving forward with POP, rather than IMAP email account types. We do this so that we can manage our accounts through MS Outlook or another native email management program. Due to the fact that Mediacom has entered into a contract with Zimbra, they refuse to acknowledge this and adopt to their customers needs. Mediacom's email service is ***...

I will not recommend Mediacom, they are sitting and a mediocre "C+" with our experience.

I apologize for the intermittent connection issues with speed and the problems with the attitude of the phone representatives you spoke to. I would love to look into this for you and see what we can do to make this situation better for you. Please contact us at socialmediateam@mediacomcc.com and we would be glad to find out what is going on and rectify this. Currently we do only support POP3 servers, but IMAP may come in the future.

We hope to hear from you soon!
